Art and activism are connected in their aim to make visible social, cultural, and political issues. But how does activism get taken up by artists? What are different obstacles and/or possibilities for this kind of social justice work? Drawing on the personal experiences of three artist-activists, this panel will address connections between social justice initiatives, artistic modes, and community engagement to answer these and other questions.
