Canada-Latin America Relations: Opportunities and Challenges

This one-day Forum will bring together a range of experts to discuss relations, actual and potential, between Canada and a rapidly developing Latin America. The Forum will place special emphasis on our two biggest trading partners in the region, Brazil and Mexico. While the Forum will clearly focus on our respective economic challenges, other important issues will be addressed. All this will be looked at against a background of historic two-way trade and investment in minerals, energy and information technology, as well as the areas of tourism, education and culture.

- Sergio Florencio, Consul General of Brazil in Vancouver & former Ambassador to Mexico
- Agustin Barrios Gomez, Director – Canada-Mexico Initiative, Mexican Council on Foreign Relations/Consejo Mexicano de Asuntos Internacionales
- Chuck Jeannes, President and Chief Executive Officer, Goldcorp
- Andrea Mandel-Campbell, Anchor, Business News Network
- Neil Reeder, Director General – Latin America, Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada
- Guillermo Rischynski, Ambassador of Canada to Mexico & former Ambassador to Brazil

Fees include refreshment breaks and lunch as well as HST. Deadline for registration is noon PST, May 24, 2011. Registration fees will be refunded in full if cancellation is made by this date. CIC Vancouver reserves the right to deny registration by issuing a full refund. Pre-registration and payment is required.
