With our own Max Cameron plus Jorge Castañeda, former Mexican foreign secretary, among others.
Is North America dead? Or is it an essential platform upon which Canada, the United States, and Mexico can confront the challenges of the 21st Century?
The Liu Institute for Global Issues
6476 North West Marine Drive
Friday & Saturday March 16 – 17
8:30 am – 5:00 pm
The University of California, Berkeley, and UBC, in partnership with the University of Toronto, have convened diplomats and scholars, practitioners and media to examine North American Futures.
There are critical elections this year in Mexico and the United States. Building on the success of an earlier meeting in Berkeley in 2010, the focus of the March 16-17 meeting, to be held in the Liu Institute, will be to examine the North American dimension of a wide range of issues from borders and security to energy and the environment, from drugs and democracy to cooperation in the Arctic.
The event is free and open to the public.
