FIDAAC, the Travelling Festival of Colombian Audiovisual Arts, is a traveling festival that develops activities every year in Colombia and travels to other countries to make known Colombian cinema. We offer to the public a journey through the history, present and future of the Colombian cinema with showings of feature films, short films, video clips and one-minute films. We also include encounters in other areas such as literature, photography, music and urbanism. In 2013 for its first edition, FIDAAC festival was invited to develop its activities by the Bordeaux International Independent Film Festival in France. In 2014 we took cinema and Colombian culture to Vilnius, Lithuania, in association with In Latino festival, “Latin American Culture Days” adjunct event of Kino Pavasaris. For 2015 we are pleased to announce that FIDAAC is going to travel to Vancouver, Canada, in association with the Vancouver Latin American Film Festival, to take the Colombian culture and their creativity. Besides our activities inside the country that had been through Bogotá, Medellin and Bucaramanga.
Our task is to incentive interest in Colombian cinema inside and outside the country. Increase the competition of the national industry. Generate interactions between professionals, groups and institutions of local and foreign cinematography. Offer to local artists visibility on the national circuit, promote feature films co-production in Colombia and participation of Colombian productions in international festivals.
