Graduate degrees are offered by individual departments (Anthropology, History, Political Science, etc.), rather than by the Latin American Studies program.
However, the university’s Latin Americanist faculty work closely together across campus, and both MA and PhD students often include committee members from other departments.
The program aims to support graduate study by providing a clearing house for information about events and opportunities of interest to graduate students working on Latin America.
The program also organizes graduate student conferences and workshops, as well as occasional social events.
In addition, we frequently collaborate with colleagues at the nearby Simon Fraser University, and its Latin American Studies program.
